I also want to shout out Michael Hozler, the owner. Over the years, he’s become more than just someone we work with — he’s become a friend. He genuinely cares about making the trip great for our students and easy for us as teachers. He’s organized, responsive, and just a really good person to work with.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE: Our small school has worked with ETA since 2017,  taking at least one educational tour almost every year, domestic and/or international. Our experience with them has been consistently stellar.

ETA offers pre-designed trips, but what we always completely customize for the experience and destinations we want—literally day by day, place by place, off the beaten path. The crazy part is that ETA’s trips (customized and all) come in at lower costs than those from the big-box group tour machines.

ETA’s customer service has always been excellent (thanks Emily), responsive, and professional. Their tour managers are knowledgeable, warm and friendly, capable, and indispensable. The whole process, from initial planning to returning home after exciting travel, is efficient and smart.

As great as each ETA planning and travel experience has been, the absolute clincher for me was a trip we took to NYC with 16 eighth graders and two chaperones. The late night flight back home was canceled as we arrived at the gate. Long story short, we were stuck at the New Jersey airport late at night with no luggage and no flight and a line a mile long at the airline desk where they were turning people away in droves. ETA’s on call pros handled everything brilliantly over the phone right away. We soon had an early flight the next morning booked *for all of us together* and a hotel for the night. We could not have managed that rescue on our own, and none of it cost us a penny extra (travel insurance is always included).

We are already working on domestic and international tours with ETA for 2026.
