Day 1 – Arrive in Panama and travel to service project community
You will depart to Panama and upon arrival, you'll meet with your Tour Manager.
Day 2-4 – Host community and service project
You'll visit to wildlife refuge where you will have an introduction on the volunteer work for the next few days.
You will volunteer at a family owned wildlife refuge for the next days. Work can include, but not restricted to: helping rehabilitate and even prepare animals for release into the wild, feeding and socializing with domesticated animals, work with autistic children during therapy day camps, and help building or improving animal enclosures. The volunteer work will depend on the animals at the refuge at the moment the group visits and the specific needs of these animals at that moment.
Day 5 – Zip line tour and Panama City
In the early morning you will explore the canopy of the forest in a zipline adventure.
Day 6 – Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute
In the morning, you will explore the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and learn about the amazing tropical marine wildlife. Depending on the availability of researchers you could have a talk by one of the researchers.
Day 7 – Old Panama City Tour and Panama Canal
In the morning, you will explore the Old Panama City and in the afternoon you will visit the Panama Canal and learn about its importance and history. Tonight you will have a farewell dinner celebration reminiscing about your time in Panama.
Day 8 – International flight home
Your Panama program comes to a close as you depart early for the international airport.
