Day 1 – Travel to Romania

Today you'll start your Romania adventure to make unforgettable memories with your group.

Day 2 – Bucharest Arrival & Transylvania

Upon arrival, you will meet your Tour Manager and start your adventure. First you'll take a guided tour of Peles Castle, just outside of Sinaia. This picturesque 19th century castle, built by King Carol I, aspires to the Neo-renaissance style on its exterior and displays decorative styles from all over the world within its various rooms and halls.

Day 3 – Brasov, Rasnov Fortress, Bran Castle

After breakfast, you'll have free time to visit the town of Brasov, including the town square and Black Church.

You'll visit the Rasnov Fortress, an important citadel for retreating and besieged inhabitants of the area throughout the centuries. The citadel which served as a first line of defense against invaders, was built throughout the 13th century. You'll take a self- guided journey to medieval times and discover all of the secret rooms of the fortress.

Enjoy a guided tour of the 14th century Bran Castle, used through the centuries as a fortress, a museum, administrative offices and royal summer residence. The castle is often called Dracula's Castle because it was said to be the inspiration for the residence of the fictional character.

Day 4 – Bucharest City Tour, Village Museum

For the next three days, you will have an unlimited ride card to use the metro, buses, trains, trams and trolleys to reach destinations around the city.

In the mornings, you'll meet your tour guide and begin your Bucharest city tour. You'll visit the Palace of Parliament which is the second largest administrative building in the world. Built in the late 1980's, the building is a remnant of the Communist government. The completion of the building was ending as the Romanian revolution was beginning. You will learn how, in the new social and political climate, the government transformed the building into a symbol of democracy.

You will also visit the Village Museum, an open air tribute to the diversity of Romanian culture and art. The museum is a reconstruction of architecture, art, crafts and traditions from villages around the country. You'll have time to explore the grounds and experience village life.

Day 5 – Business/Industry Visits

To start the day, you'll visit the AMCHAM Bucharest office to learn about their initiatives to assist American businesses in Romania.

Then you'll visit the local branch of an international recruitment firm and learn about the procedures and challenges of providing human resources for multinational companies.

After you'll visit a local international law firm and speak with employees and gain insight into the legal issues encountered while doing business in Romania.
