Daily Itinerary
You’ll depart on the bus for your trip. Upon arrival in Boston, you’ll meet your Tour Manager.
You will have free time to explore Quincy Market. Built in 1825, Quincy market was an indoor pavilion of vendor sales. The main Quincy Market building continues to be a source of food for Bostonians, though it now houses food-stalls, fast-food, and restaurants. It is a popular and busy lunchtime spot for downtown workers. In the center, surrounding the dome, is a two-story seating area.
After lunch, you’ll get to let your imagination swim wild! The New Aquarium Experience has arrived. See the Aquarium’s 21st-century transformation, featuring a spectacular new Caribbean coral reef teeming with more than 2,000 animals. The renovated 200,000 gallon Giant Ocean Tank features crystal clear views of sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and thousands of tropical fishes. Your Aquarium adventure includes bustling penguin colonies, playful seals and the smooth skin of a cownose ray gliding under your fingertips.
Let the fun begins as you board your “DUCK”, a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. First, you’ll be greeted by a legendary tour ConDUCKtors®, who will narrate your sightseeing tour of Boston. Then you’re off on a journey like you’ve never had before. You’ll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts, the golden-domed State House, Bunker Hill, the TD Bank North Garden, Boston Common, Copley Square, the fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market, the Prudential Tower and more!
After dinner, you will arrive at your hotel and check in.
After breakfast, you’ll board your bus and depart the hotel for the day.
You’ll arrive to the Harvard Museum of Natural History. On the grounds of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the museum displays a sampling of specimens drawn from the collections of the University’s three natural history research museums: the Harvard University Herbaria, the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Harvard Mineralogical Museum. Experience a diversity of life on earth, from dinosaurs to fossil invertebrates and reptiles, to large mammals, birds and fish, and the only mounted Kronosaurus. The mineralogical galleries present a systematic display of meteorites, minerals and gemstones. The galleries also house the historic Blaschka glass models of plants, popularly known as the Glass Flowers.
You’ll head to Harvard Square where you’ll have free time. You can visit the campus of America’s oldest institution of higher learning, visit the campus book store and have time to explore the neighborhood.
You will take a break for lunch (not included).
A guided tour of the MIT Museum which offers an engaging look at cutting-edge innovations, from robotics and artificial intelligence to holography and maritime history. On this tour, you’ll gain insight into MIT’s groundbreaking research and its impact on science, technology, and the world.
You’ll take a 90-minute MIT Museum Workshop where you’ll engage in MIT’s hands-on, minds-on learning ethos rooted in problem solving and creative thinking. Students will explore science and engineering challenges under the guidance of a museum educator.
You’ll have dinner at Dave & Busters and then have free time to enjoy the arcade style games. A $20 per person game card is included.
You will return to your hotel on the bus.
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel room. You’ll then board your bus and depart the hotel for the day.
You’ll explore the Museum of Science, a Boston, Massachusetts landmark. Along with over 500 interactive exhibits, the Museum features a number of live presentations throughout the building every day, along with shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni IMAX theater, the only domed IMAX screen in New England. The Museum is also home to over 100 animals, many of which have been rescued and rehabilitated from various dangerous situations. In the Mugar Omni Theater, the world’s largest film format is projected onto a five-story-tall IMAX® Dome screen. It wraps audiences in larger-than-life images of flora, fauna, and faraway places. A state-of-the-art digital sound system completes the immersion effect.
You’ll visit the Copley Square area and have free time to shop at the Prudential Center.
After lunch, you’ll visit the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology where you’ll experience 10,000 years of cultural history across six continents and eight galleries, in one of the North America’s first anthropology museums.
You’ll board your bus and begin the return trip home.
