It all began in July 1934, 18 farmers and merchants park their trucks on vacant Gilmore land, selling produce to local housewives. The idea was so successful that by Fall, the Farmers Market had stalls and shops, restaurants and special events. Today you’ll enjoy the variety of food options as you walk through the market. You can also shop or eat the adjacent shopping center, The Grove.
After lunch, you’ll take a guided tour of the city and you’ll see the famous Hollywood sign, Hollywood Boulevard, TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s and Mann’s Chinese Theatre), the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and more.
You’ll visit Santa Monica where you can enjoy the beach, the downtown area and the pier. Santa Monica Pier is one of California’s oldest pleasure piers. This famous pier is within walking distance of the Third Street Promenade and the newly refurbished Santa Monica Place Mall and offers one of the most spectacular sunset views in California. The Third Street Promenade is filled with shops and restaurants for you to enjoy.
