Professional Background
Karen started out as a Customer Service agent working for the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ. She then worked in customer service for Thompson Financial Publishing in Manhattan, NYC. Karen then continued on to become a certified Elementary School teacher in NJ. She loved working with the first graders there.
Currently, Karen is working for ETA in Customer Service and is the Bus Transportation Specialist, booking transportation for all domestic travel. Karen always makes sure that bus companies’ DOT Safety records are satisfactory and that their buses are the newest ones in their fleet. She answers phone calls and chats promptly from customers, takes payments for student trips and delivers amazing customer service to all!

I have an adorable shetland sheepdog named Penny and she loves to play ball!
Favorite Place Traveled:
Favorite place I’ve traveled to is the Caribbean, especially Jamaica… I love the beach, Sun and Sand.
Favorite subject to study in school:
Latin – I had a great teacher who made it so fun and I learned a lot!
Most Recent Passport Stamp:
Italy.
Most unexpected moment while traveling:
We were on the plane in Paris, France waiting to take off and after 2 hours the pilot told us the plane would not be taking off because the crew ran out of hours. We had to stay an extra night and leave the next day. It was an extra day of French food!
Window seat or aisle seat?
Aisle seat because I don’t like to feel trapped in my seat…LOL
Dream destination (not yet visited):
I would love to visit Bali and go to the beach.
Go-to travel snack:
Almond M&M’s — because they are just so yummy!
One thing I hope students gain from traveling:
I hope students learn a lot on our trips and get to have many memorable experiences.
