When I Joined ETA & What I Love About Working Here
Professional Background
I entered this field 28 years ago by happy accident and built a career by learning every part of the business. From frontline customer service to sales, ticketing, and overseeing domestic operations, I’ve worked my way up and gained a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to deliver a seamless, outstanding trip.
Fun Facts About Jennifer
Interesting Facts
I played the flute and piccolo in band and marching band in high school and then in orchestra pits for community theater in college.
Favorite Place Traveled:
Austria – it’s a beautiful country with fascinating history. Part of my lineage is from there and it was wonderful to explore, meet the people and see the cities as well as the countryside.
Favorite subject to study in school:
Math. I think it’s because I love to work on figuring things out.
Most Recent Passport Stamp:
Germany.
Most unexpected moment while traveling:
Years ago, I was in the Bahamas with my husband. He points to a guy at the pool and says, that’s one of my fraternity brothers. I said, no way. It was. It was the guy who he hadn’t seen or talked to in 10 years.
Window seat or aisle seat?
Aisle seat because I always have to get up to go to the bathroom and don’t like to have to make other people move.
Dream destination (not yet visited):
New Zealand.
Go-to travel snack:
Meat sticks for protein. Almonds because they are healthy.
One thing I hope students gain from traveling:
Knowledge. I hope the experience of getting out of their normal routine helps to expand their knowledge and that they learn more about themselves and the world in which we live.
