You’ll enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour where you’ll see the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, the Champs-Elysees and the majestic Arc de Triomphe, the impressive Place de la Concorde and the ornate Opera House.
After dinner, you’ll return to the hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll visit the Louvre, one of the largest art museums in the world. The Louvre is one of the signature destinations in Paris and houses a magnificent collection of art from around the world including, most notably, Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Frequently described as ‘the world’s most beautiful avenue’, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is a Paris must-see! Like the Eiffel Tower, the avenue is a symbol of Paris stretching two kilometeres between the Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe lined with restaurants, luxury boutiques flagship stores and night clubs.
You’ll make a stop at the Arc de Triomphe for a photo stop. The iconic Arc was inaugurated in 1836 by French king, Louis-Philippe, who dedicated it to the armies of the Revolution and the Empire. The Unknown Soldier was buried at the base of the arch in 1921. The flame of remembrance is rekindled every day at 18:30.
After dinner, you’ll return to the hotel for the evening.
You’ll have breakfast, you will take a round-trip train to Versailles.
You’ll visit the Palace of Versailles, which has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for 30 years, is one of the most beautiful achievements of 18th-century French art. The site began as Louis XIII’s hunting lodge before his son Louis XIV transformed and expanded it, moving the court and government of France to Versailles in 1682. Each of the three French kings who lived there until the French Revolution added improvements to make it more beautiful.
You’ll return to Paris by train.
After dinner, you’ll return to your hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll visit Musée d’Orsay, a former railroad station located on the left bank of the Seine. This museum was constructed to display works by French artists between 1848 and 1915. While visiting, you’ll view works by such famous French artists as Monet, Manet, Degas, Gauguin, Renoir and Seurat.
You’ll have free time.
You’ll enjoy a narrated river cruise on the Seine where you’ll take in many of the highlights of the city—the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, etc.—as you float along the famous Seine River!
You’ll visit the Eiffel Tower. This iron lattice structure located on the Champ de Mars needs no introduction as it is the quintessential symbol of Paris. Take in the beauty and majesty from the tallest and most famous structure in Paris.
You’ll learn about French cuisine and take a hands on class, cooking classic French dishes at a local cooking school.
After breakfast, you’ll see the Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the most famous landmarks in Paris. Located on the small island of Ile de la Cite in the middle of the Seine, the cathedral is a stunning example of French Gothic Architecture and is probably most famous for the use of flying buttresses which are the exterior arch supports.
You will enjoy a visit to the Marais Neighborhood. The Marais district gets its name from its location: once a marshland (‘marais’), it has been inhabited ever since it was drained back in the 12th century. This historic area is now one of the most visited districts of the French capital, for its architectural heritage as well as its unique vibe. The district is shaped like a triangle, bordered respectively by Place de la Bastille, Place de la République and the Hôtel de Ville. It has a number of private mansions dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, some of which have been converted into internationally renowned museums such as the Musée Picasso, the Maison de Victor Hugo and the Musée Carnavalet. The beautiful and well-proportioned square known as Place des Vosges is a highlight of a stroll through the Marais. Rue des Rosiers, the Jewish quarter of Paris, is well worth exploring for its old-world atmosphere and its offbeat shops and restaurants. The Marais has any number of trendy shops and restaurants, as well as its own department store, the BHV Marais.
You’ll visit the iconic church built at the highest point of the city in Montmartre, the Sacre Coeur.
You’ll visit the charming and historic neighborhood of Montmartre. Well known for it’s artist inhabitants, authentic Parisian atmosphere and spectacular views from atop the highest hill in Paris, the neighborhood is filled with narrow streets to explore. You’ll have time to discover the small shops, cafe’s and galleries of the area.
After dinner, you’ll return to the hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel room and board your bus to drive to the airport.
