When I Joined ETA & What I Love About Working Here

2026. I’m a newbie at ETA and I am absolutely loving the people I get to work with.

Professional Background

With 15+ years of group travel experience, I speak Sales, Operations, Travel, & Performance. I have been in the office, in the field, on the convention floor, in the pit, and on the stage.

It was on a trip with the UTSA Orchestra as a student violinist that I discovered a love for performing arts travel coordination. I began my professional journey in music festivals for student performing arts groups in San Antonio, TX and soon expanded to student travel around the world. A Thanksgiving Parade Band Trip helped me realize a dream of moving to New York City and I have since specialized in performing arts group travel to NYC and group tickets to Broadway. I’m jumping back in to worldwide group travel with ETA and I could not be more excited.

Fun Facts About MaryCatherine

Interesting Facts
I attended three high schools in three different countries (USA, Germany, Italy) and all three had the same mascot: a cougar. I was even the one hidden in the cougar mascot suit my senior year.

Favorite Place Traveled:
Venice, Italy. It’s the perfect place to get lost in and find hidden gems especially with all the orchestral and carnevale history.

Favorite subject to study in school:
Orchestra was always my favorite subject, but Music Psychology was my all time favorite class because it was the hardest and most interesting class I’ve ever experienced. We learned what music does to the brain and I still drop “fun facts” from that class 15+ yrs later.

Most Recent Passport Stamp:
Mexico.

Most unexpected moment while traveling:
I recently received a police escort to the airport. Don’t worry I sat in the front.

Window seat or aisle seat?
Window. I love the view.

Dream destination (not yet visited):
Greece.

Go-to travel snack:
Rye chips, grapes, and lots of water.

One thing I hope students gain from traveling:
A better understanding of the world around them and I hope they find that feeling the moment before the curtain rises everywhere they go.
