Broadway workshops and masterclasses offer an enriching and transformative experience for choirs, bands, theatre students, and dancers alike, blending education with inspiration in one of the world’s greatest artistic capitals. Participants benefit from hands-on coaching by professional Broadway artists, masterclasses in technique and stagecraft, and the chance to apply their skills in the theatre capital of the world.

Whether it’s a band or orchestra playing a show selection under a Broadway music director, singers and actors working with a casting director, or dancers learning the choreography from a hit musical, these immersive workshops, led by our partners at The Broadway Project, build practical skills, deepen artistic insight, and foster a sense of real-world professionalism.
Band & Orchestra Workshops
Broadway Mock Orchestra – Have your band or orchestra work on a musical selection from a hit Broadway show conducted by a Broadway music director! Sheet music will be provided in advance.
Large Group Clinic – Have your entire band or orchestra play a piece and coach with a professional clinician. Each section of the ensemble will be worked with separately and together as a whole to encourage the group to listen to each other, work on dynamics, phrasing, rhythm and overall performance.
Body Percussion/Eurhythmics– This is the perfect workshop for musicians traveling without their instruments. Join professional musicians as they teach poly rhythms, mixed meters, singing and clapping in the style of the shows STOMP and Blue Man Group. This workshop is high energy as we also experiment with Latin rhythms while stomping, dancing, and clapping. Anyone who wants to can improvise while being supported by the group.
Theatre Student Workshops
Musical Theatre – Learn the music and choreography to a Broadway Musical number. The first half of this workshop is dedicated to learning part of a song. The second is adding choreography. Get a chance to perform for your peers in the heart of New York City.
Stage Combat – How did they do that and not get hurt?!? Learn how in this high energy workshop.
Improv – Whose line is it anyway?! Taught by New York City improv specialists from UCB, Second City, Sketch and more, this workshop will surely keep you on your toes.
Behind The Scenes – Learn what it’s like to work on the other side of the stage in this intimate Q&A. Choose between Costumes, Scenic Design, Lighting Design or Stage Management.
Acting in the Scene – Learn the basics of making strong choices and engaging with your scene partner whether it’s in a show, class, or an audition.
Mock Auditions – Get up and sing your audition song or perform your monologue in the heart of New York City and be critiqued by true New York City casting directors. Learn the skills it takes to get cast in a Broadway show. Please note for this workshop, there may not be enough time for your entire group to perform.

Dance Company Workshops
Dance Break – Learn the dance break from a Broadway Musical number. This workshop focuses on Broadway Choreography. Dance Break workshops can be combined with Mock Audition workshops for a more high intensity experience. Led by Broadway dancers, dance captains, and choreographers.
