Daily Itinerary

1

This afternoon you will begin your journey to St. Augustine, the oldest city in America. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Tour Manager and head to your hotel to rest up for the days ahead.

2

This morning you’ll have free time for shopping on St. George Street.

Next, you’ll take a narrated trolley tour through St. Augustine with a fun mix of trivia and humorous stories. Some of the sights you’ll see are the Old Jail, the Florida Heritage Museum and the Castillo de San Marcos Fort.

You’ll then take a guided tour of Castillo de San Marcos Fort, which is located on the shore of Matanzas Bay. Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States.

After lunch, you’ll visit the new Colonial Quarter, which opened in the spring of 2013. This revitalized two-acre attraction in the heart of St. Augustine’s downtown historic district is divided into four quadrants that represent four eras of the city’s history: the 16th-century First City, the 17th-century Spanish Fortified Town, the 18th-century British 14th Colony and the 18th-century Spanish Garrison Town. Each quadrant features interactive activities, living history demonstrations and graphical stories.

After dinner in the historic downtown district, you’ll take a guided ghost tour of the city. Saunter with the spirits from dusk to darkness! A guide in period dress will light your way with their lantern as they share ancient and unusual tales of centuries past, legendary stories, folklore and ghostly experiences.

You will return to your hotel for the evening.

3

This morning you’ll climb to the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse for a majestic view of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. A historian will illuminate on the changing coastline and its impact on ships over the city’s long history.

After lunch, you will have free time at the beach!

This afternoon your St. Augustine trip comes to a close as you board your bus and begin the return trip home.
