Daily Itinerary

Day 1
You’ll depart for your overnight flight to Frankfurt

Day 2
You’ll meet your tour manager at the arrivals hall and head to the train station for the 11 minute ride into the city. You’ll transfer to the city train and go to the hotel. You will be able to store your luggage or check in if available. You’ll head out to see the sights of Frankfurt. You’ll spend time in the Romerberg, the historic district of Frankfurt and site of its town hall built in 1405. You’ll visit the birthplace of Anne Frank, the Holocaust Memorial Wall, the Book Burning memorial, the Frankfurt stock exchange building and St. Paul’s Cathedral. In the evening you’ll have dinner.

Day 3
This morning you’ll take the train to Cologne. You’ll leave your luggage at the hotel before going to visit the Cologne Cathedral. The church is an example of Gothic architecture and the most recognizable building in the city. You’ll climb the 533 steps of the south tower to see a view old the Rheine River cutting through the city. On the way up you’ll pass the church bell which is the largest free swinging church bell in the world. You’ll continue your visit of the city in Old Town. While 70% of the historic district was destroyed during World War II, the surviving buildings and reconstructed ruins allow a picture of the city’s rich history. You’ll wander the narrow cobblestone streets where you can still see remnants of the Roman walls, visit medieval churches and city gates and the town hall. You’ll meet in the evening for dinner
Overnight in Cologne

Day 4
In the morning you’ll head down to the Rheine River for a sightseeing cruise that takes you through the city. You’ll see the impressive cathedral from afar as well as a new view of Hohenzollem Bridge and the Cologne Tower. In the afternoon you’ll head to the train station to take the train to Berlin. You’ll have dinner in Berlin

Day 5
Today you’ll head out to see the sights of this exciting and historic city including Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, Check Point Charlie and what is left of the Berlin Wall. You’ll have free time in the afternoon to explore Potsdam Square and all of the city’s interesting neighborhoods. You’ll have dinner together in the evening.

Day 6
This morning you’ll see the seat of German government, The Bundestag and the impressive Reichstag building which was rebuilt as a symbol of German reunification and is a mix of old and new. You’ll tour the historic building and the modern glass dome which offers a 360 degree view of the city. You’ll have a lunch break and some free time before you head to the hotel to collect your things. In the late afternoon you’ll take the train back to Frankfurt. You’ll check into your hotel and have dinner.

Day 7
You’ll head to the airport to catch your flight home.
