Daily Itinerary
You’ll depart on the bus for your trip. When you arrive in Miami, you will meet your tour manager.
You’ll participate in the Seagrass Adventure at Biscayne Nature Center where you’ll drag a net in the seagrass and who knows what you may come up with! There’s sea life of all shapes and sizes living the rich seagrass beds right outside our doors. Encounter seahorses to sea stars, pipefish to pufferfish, the variety of sea life is amazing! Your naturalist guide will identify each organism, making sure everyone gets a good look before gently releasing the catch. It’s wading fun for the whole family, with netfuls of surprises. Closed-toe shoes are required for this waist-deep wading adventure. Bring a change of clothes if riding home with a dry bottom is important to you.
After dinner, you’ll arrive at your hotel and check in.
After breakfast, you’ll board your bus and depart the hotel for the day.
You will visit a Visitor Center at the Everglades National Park which offers educational displays, orientation films, and informational brochures. Special collections by local artists are often displayed. Books, film, postcards, and insect repellent may be purchased in the adjoining bookstore. A series of popular walking trails begin only a short drive from the visitor center. Restrooms are available. You’ll visit the Everglades National Park which is a U.S. National Park in Florida that protects the southern 20 percent of the original Everglades.
You’ll take a guided airboat tour through the heart of the Everglades. Experienced guides will take you on an exciting airboat ride through grand open areas and sawgrass trails to hammocks (or tree islands) that have been passed down through generations.
You’ll participate in a ranger guided tram tour at Shark Valley in the Everglades. This two-hour open air tour through the Shark Valley section of Everglades National Park will give you insight into the ecosystem and teach you about this world renowned wetland.
You will have a box lunch after your airboat tour.
You’ll visit the Miami Seaquarium. And now over 50 years later, Miami Seaquarium® is the longest operating oceanarium in the US. The park has grown steadily over the past half century and today offers eight different marine animal shows and presentations each day and provides a fun-filled mix of exhibits, shows, attractions, food and shopping opportunities. Miami Seaquarium®, which attracts more than 500,000 visitors each year, is recognized as South Florida’s most popular ‘gated’ attraction. Miami Seaquarium® is a premier entertainment destination that is dedicated to education, wildlife conservation and community involvement.
After dinner, you will return to your hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll check out of your hotel room and board your bus for the day.
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science (formerly known as the Miami Science Museum) is an attraction located in the city of Miami. In addition to interactive science exhibits, the museum also contains the Space-Transit Planetarium, Weintraub Observatory, a Sea Lab, and the Falcon Batchelor Bird of Prey Center.
You will visit the Museum of Discovery and Science. Explore two floors of fascinating interactive exhibits and enjoy an Imax film on the BIGGEST screen in South Florida.
You’ll board your bus and begin the return trip home. You’ll make a stop for dinner (not included) en route.
