Day 1
Upon arrival to Miami, you will meet your Tour Manager and head straight to your first adventures. You will enjoy a ride on an amphibious vehicle providing a once in a lifetime journey through famous South Florida landmarks! You'll ride on land before a dramatic splashdown into the beautiful Biscayne Bay or Intracoastal. You'll get a close-up look at the homes of the rich and famous on Star Island and the Venice of America. This 90 minute narrated tour is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip!
Next, you will visit the De La Cruz Collection. The primary purpose of this museum is to provide education in the visual arts showcasing its collection of contemporary art, organizing exhibitions, artist residencies, workshops, lectures and outreach programs for our community.
This evening you will have free time on Lincoln Road, a pedestrian only street where you can stroll along the mall and visit the many shops or eat in one of the numerous outdoor cafes and restaurants. If you're there on Sunday you can purchase local produce at the weekly farmers market.
Day 2
Today you will visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque elements.
Next, you will visit the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens where you can walk garden paths surrounded by the wonders and beauty of nature, talk to experts in horticulture and conservation science, view impressive art, and see butterflies and birds at every turn.
After lunch, you will head to Wynwood to explore the design district’s gallery scene. The Wynwood Arts District is the epicenter of the arts in Greater Miami. It is home to over 50 art galleries, 4 museums and major collections, and much more.
This evening, you will have free time for shopping and exploring in Coconut Grove.
Day 3
Today you will visit the Wolfsonian. This museum highlights architecture, design and propaganda from the years1885 to 1945.
After lunch, you will visit the Miami Art Museum. The MAM dedicates itself to contemporary art. In its permanent collections, there are second half of the Twentieth Century and Contemporary works by: Purvis Young, José Bedia Valdés, Joseph Cornell, Kehinde Wiley, James Rosenquist, Frank Stella, and Kiki Smith.
This afternoon you will have free time at Merrick Place.
Tonight your exploration in Miami comes to a close as you depart on your return trip home.
