  • Daily Itinerary

    Day 1

    Upon arrival, you will meet you Tour Manager and take a guided city tour of Chicago. You'll see the famous "Loop" including the impressive sculptures at Daly Plaza, the Wrigley Building, the Magnificent Mile, Lincoln Park and more.

    You will enjoy live science experiences at the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere at the Museum of Science and Industry

    After lunch, you will explore Navy Pier. Located on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops in addition to unequaled recreational and exhibition facilities - in a setting like no other!

    This evening, you'll see a performance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

    Day 2

    This morning, you'll visit the Field Museum. It is one of America's premier natural history museums. The Field's "Live over Time" exhibit now houses "Sue," the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered.

    After exploring the museum, you will perform for it's public guests!

    After lunch, you will enjoy spectacular views spanning up to four states from atop the Chicago Skydeck.

    You will enjoy free time to explore the Magnificent Mile.

    After dinner, you will see a Broadway show.

    Day 3

    This morning you'll take a guided tour on your bus and... EXPERIENCE...Chicago as it was during the 1920s and 30s! SEE...the old gangster hot spots and hit spots! HEAR...historically accurate accounts of the exploits of Capone, Moran, Dillinger and the rest a da boys! FEEL...the excitement of jazz-age Chicago during the era of Prohibition! ENJOY...a journey into the past as you cruise the city in search of the old hoodlum haunts, brothels, gambling dens and sites of gangland shootouts!

    You will then have a 90 minute music workshop at VanderCook College with one of their experienced faculty members. Clinics are available for bands, choirs, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and other groups.

    Next, you'll visit the original McDonald's Flagship restaurant in Chicago. The Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's features a collection of memorabilia from the 1950s and '60s, including Elvis Presley on the cover of Time magazine, a plaster cast of the Beatles and an authentic 1958 Corvette.

    After lunch, you'll have free time to shop and explore Chicago's Little Italy.

    After dinner, you'll see a performance of the Blue Man Group.

    Day 4

    This morning you will experience the beauty of Chicago is on a sightseeing architecture river tour. This 60-minute tour takes you past dozens of world-renowned buildings, including Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building, Marina City, Trump Tower and Willis (Sears) Tower. Shoreline’s professional and entertaining guides will enthrall you with the stories behind these and dozens of other Chicago landmarks.

    Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator, who designed more than 1000 structures and completed 532 works. Wright believed in designing structures which were in harmony with humanity and its environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture. You'll tour his home and studio in Oak Brook Illinois. It has been restored to its appearance in 1909. and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

    This afternoon you'll perform at a public venue. Venues suggested are one of the following, based on availability: Chicago Symphony Center; Harris Theater; Auditorium Theater(Roosevelt University); University of Chicago; Roosevelt University; North Western University; DePaul University; North Eastern Illinois University

    You will enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner at Tommy Guns Garage. You'll join “Vito”, “Gloves”, and the “gangsters” and the “flappers” for non-stop comedy and dangerous fun. You will be transported back to the 1920’s complete wit da boss’s 1928 Model “A” Ford, Roaring Twenties music and memorabilia from the Twenties.

    Day 5

    This morning, you will have the exciting opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of the legendary home of the Chicago Cubs with Wrigley Field Tours. This must-see Chicago attraction houses over 98 years of history.

    You'll visit Lincoln Park which lies along the lakefront from Ohio Street Beach in the Streeterville neighborhood, northward to Ardmore Avenue in Edgewater. During your visit to the park, you'll make a stop at the Lincoln Park Zoo where you'll experience a world of wildlife in the shadow of skyscrapers.

    After lunch, you'll head to the bus or airport for your return trip home.
