Daily Itinerary

Five days in the Big Apple on the biggest national stage during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

1

Upon arrival in New York, you will meet your Tour Manager and head to dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe! After dinner, you will turn in for the evening resting for the exciting days ahead!

2

After breakfast, your group will attend rehearsals for their performance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

After lunch, you will travel down to the 9/11 Memorial located in the footprint of the former Twin Towers. The memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.

Next, you will visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The museum’s 110,000 square feet of exhibition space is located within the archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site-telling the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. The lives of every victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks will be commemorated as visitors have the opportunity to learn about the men, women and children who died. The museum further recognizes the thousands who survived and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath. Demonstrating the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and its impact on communities at the local, national, and international levels, the Museum attests to the triumph of human dignity over human depravity and affirms an unwavering commitment to the fundamental value of human life.

You’ll then have free time in Chinatown! Use your time to immerse yourself in culture by sampling the cuisine and perusing the shops. You will have dinner here in Chinatown.

This evening you’ll enjoy a spectacular Broadway show! After the show concludes, you’ll head to the front of the theater for a Q&A with some of the cast members.

3

After breakfast, you’ll see the city’s Christmas celebration that cannot be missed. Enjoy the flawless precision of the Radio City Rockettes in numbers like the legendary “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.” Thrill as Santa takes you on a magical ride to his workshop at the North Pole, where playful ragdolls come to life! Marvel at the stunning reenactment of the first Christmas in the “Living Nativity.”

Next, you will enjoy a tour at Radio City Music Hall where you will go behind-the-scenes and get an insider’s view of New York’s iconic entertainment venue where the biggest names in show business perform. During the tour you’ll meet a real Rockette!

After lunch, you’ll head up to the 70th floor observatory at the Top of the Rock where you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline.
Go behind the scenes of the world’s most famous arena. Discover the new “Garden 366″ retrospective and Madison Square Garden “Defining Moments” exhibit. Take in the new arena from the Garden floor where the biggest stars and MSG’s athletes have performed. Explore two spectacular new chase bridges suspended high above the arena floor. Step inside the Knicks and Rangers locker rooms. Get VIP treatment with access to the new Delta Sky360 Club and Madison Level Suites. Participate in a Q&A and photo opportunity with a Knicks City Dancer and much, much more!

After a professional group photo in Times Square, you will enjoy dinner and then you’ll have free time to explore Times Square.

4

You will be up very early today to start your preparation for the parade.

You will then march and perform in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

After the Parade you will see the show “From the Band Room to Broadway” starring Broadway oboist, Keve Wilson. Students get to see firsthand the dedication it takes to have a career as professional musician. With innovative programming and virtuosic playing, Keve combines memories of her high school practice room with stories of life in a Broadway orchestra pit, in a Hollywood recording studio, and on the road touring the world.

This evening you’ll enjoy music, dancing, and fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty on a dinner cruise.

5

This morning you’ll head to Fifth Avenue to see some of the famous stores and boutiques. You’ll see the Plaza Hotel (featured in “Home Alone”) , Tiffany’s and more.

Next, you’ll discover Central Park. You’ll see the Imagine Memorial to John Lennon at Strawberry Fields, the Bethesda Fountain, the Boathouse, the Mall, Sheep Meadow and the Wollman Ice Rink.
