Daily Itinerary

1

Upon your arrival in Boston, you’ll meet your Tour Manager and head straight to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

Built in 1825, Quincy market was an indoor pavilion of vendor sales. The main Quincy Market building continues to be a source of food for Bostonians, though it now houses food-stalls, fast-food, and restaurants. It is a popular and busy lunchtime spot for downtown workers.

You’ll have free time for shopping at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, located in the heart of downtown Boston. The marketplace is adjacent to historic Faneuil Hall and is bordered by the financial district, the waterfront, the North End, Government Center and Haymarket.

After lunch, you’ll experience a signature historic experience in New England on the Freedom Trail. To preserve the story of the American Revolution, sites are located along a unique 2.5 mile urban walking trail, marked with a bricked or painted red line. You’ll see Boston Common, the State House, the Granary Burial Ground and the site of the Boston Massacre. Then you’ll continue to the North End where you’ll see the home of Paul Revere and the Old North Church.

2

This morning, the fun begins as you board your “DUCK”, a WWII style amphibious landing vehicle that will take you exploring by land and sea. First, you’ll be greeted by one of the legendary tour ConDUCKtors®, who’ll be narrating your sightseeing tour of Boston. Then you’re off to cruise by  the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the TD Garden, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more.

After you have lunch back on land, you’ll head to explore the Boston Museum of Science. Along with over 500 interactive exhibits, this museum features live presentations throughout the building, as well as shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni IMAX theater – the only domed IMAX screen in New England. The Boston Museum of Science is also home to over 100 animals, many of which have been rescued and rehabilitated from various dangerous situations.

Next, you’ll let your imagination swim wild at the New England Aquarium! See the Aquarium’s 21st-century transformation, featuring a spectacular new Caribbean coral reef teeming with more than 2,000 animals. The renovated 200,000 gallon Giant Ocean Tank features crystal clear views of sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and thousands of tropical fishes.

This evening, experience the wonder of Blue Man Group with incredible performances, astounding music and outstanding art form. Become part of the new Blue Man Group show from the minute you step inside the doors!

3

This morning, you’ll explore Plymouth Plantation. A living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Plymouth Plantation shows the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by English colonists, some of whom later became known as Pilgrims.

After lunch, you’ll board the bus and take the short drive to Plymouth Rock and to the Mayflower II.

You’ll visit the Old North Church located in Boston’s North End. Here, the signal from the steeple of Boston’s oldest church triggered the War for Independence. On that fateful night in 1775, the two lanterns in the steeple told Paul Revere that the British were approaching by boat, not on foot.

4

On your final day in Boston, you’ll visit the historic towns of Lexington and Concord where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. On April 18th, Paul Revere, William Dawes and Samuel Prescott made their midnight journey to warn the colonists of the impending British attack. On the morning of April 19th, 1775, Minutemen faced the British and fought at the Lexington Battle Green. You’ll also see the North Bridge in Concord where shots were fired. Ralph Waldo Emerson described the first shots by the Patriots here as, “The shot heard round the world.”

This afternoon you’ll experience a thrilling, one hour, walking tour of Fenway Park. Known to some as “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark,” Fenway is uniquely nestled in the city of Boston. See the home of Red Sox legends and visit Pesky’s Pole and sit atop the world famous Green Monster, which stands 37 feet and 2 inches high overlooking left field. This is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever!

After your Fenway tour, you’ll have free time on Boylston Street before beginning your journey home. Boyleston Street is a major east-west thoroughfare in the city and it’s western suburbs that features many shops, restaurants, and landmarks. Make sure to snag a group photo!
