    Day 1

You'll depart on the bus for your trip. The bus should arrive 15 minutes prior to this departure time.

You will meet your tour manager.

You'll visit the California Museum, home of the California Hall of Fame which will engage, educate and enlighten you about California’s rich history and unique contributions to the world through ideas, innovation, the arts and culture.

You'll visit Sutter's Fort. Located in the heart of Midtown Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park captures the pioneer spirit of families arriving in wagon trains at the dawn of the California Gold Rush

You'll have some free time in Old Sacramento. This national historic landmark overflows with things to see and do. From river boats to railroads excursions to horse drawn carriages and riverside bike treks, Old Sacramento is History on the Move. It's also a great place to shop for souvenirs or grab a bite to eat.

You'll enjoy an Italian meal at Buca di Beppo.

You'll arrive at your hotel and check in.

    Day 2

    You'll have breakfast.

You'll visit Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. It marks the discovery of gold by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in 1848. The park grounds include much of the historic town of Coloma, California, which is now considered a ghost town as well as a National Historic Landmark District.

    You will have lunch.

Take a step back in time when you enter the Gold Bug Mine! A real gold mine from the Gold Rush Days. The Gold Bug Mine is the major historical and geological attraction and an excellent example of hard rock mining, the Gold Bug Mine has a solid wooden floor, lighting throughout, and an air shaft providing clean cool air at all times. You'll enjoy a walk through history during your tour of the mine.

You’ll enjoy dinner at the Sierra Nevada House. Once a way station for miners and tradesman, Sierra Nevada House is a true piece of the Old West. Throughout its heyday, the hotel was host to many ‘fancy’ parties in the Coloma area.

    Day 3

    You'll have breakfast.

You’ll visit the State Capitol Museum and have a chance to tour this museum that also functions as the state’s working seat of government. If it’s in session, you may be able to sit in the gallery of the Upper and Lower Assemblies and see them at work.

    You will have lunch.

You'll visit the California State Railroad Museum. Located in Old Sacramento, the California State Railroad Museum is a complex of historic facilities and unique attractions. Widely regarded as North America's most popular railroad museum, there is something here for everyone!
