Add an extra day to your tour... This amazing protected area is just a short distance from Playa del Carmen. You can take a full day excursion and see wildlife in a natural environment. You will watch dolphins, sea turtles and numerous species of birds and you explore on land and sea!

Day 1
You’ll depart in the morning for your flight to Cancun. Upon arrival you will be met by your local tour manager and then head to your beachfront hotel for check in. You’ll have the afternoon to relax and enjoy and in the evening you’ll have dinner.
Day 2
This morning you’ll take a full day excursion Xcaret, a natural eco park where you will encounter indigenous plant and animal life, take a rafting trip down a river and through caves, learn about ancient Mayan civilization and culture and have an opportunity to snorkel and swim with dolphins! In the evening you’ll return to your hotel for dinner. Day 3 After breakfast you’ll take a step back in time when you visit a nearby Mayan village. You’ll experience the local culture as you see the villagers in traditional clothing, visit a school, see the typical crafts and learn about the construction of the palapa style homes. You’ll also participate in a community service project as you learn about the construction of the thatched roofs and help to rebuild and repair some of the villager’s homes. You’ll have an opportunity to taste traditional Mayan dishes for lunch. In the evening you’ll return to your hotel for dinner. Band or choir groups will have an opportunity to perform in the morning at the village. Day 4
This morning you’ll check out of your hotel and head for the ancient site of Chichen Itza. This massive ceremonial center contains many impressive monuments and is home to the famous pyramid, the Temple of Kukulkan also known as El Castillo. You’ll also see the Great Ball Card, the Sacred Cenote, the Platform of the Eagles and Jaguars, the Platform of Venus and more. After your visit you’ll have lunch and then continue to the colonial city of Merida. Upon arrival you’ll take a two hour guided city tour and then check into your hotel. In the evening you’ll have dinner and then return to your hotel. Band or choir groups will have an opportunity to perform in the evening at the the main square known as Plaza Mayor or El Centro. Day 5
This morning you’ll check out of your hotel and head to small gulf coast town of Celestun. Celestun is a quaint fishing village and also home to thousands of flamingos. You’ll take a boat ride and have a chance to see the vivid and beautifully colored birds. In the afternoon you’ll have lunch and then begin the drive back to Mayan Riviera. In the evening you’ll have check into your hotel and have dinner.
Day 6
Today you’ll have free time to enjoy your resort and the beach. In the evening bands and choirs will have a chance to perform in a public square in Playa del Carmen.
Day 7
This morning you’ll check out of your hotel and head to the airport for your return trip home.
