Day 1
Upon arrival, you will meet your tour guide and go to the U.S. Mint. After your visit you will walk over to the Liberty Bell Pavilion and then continue to the park ranger led lecture/tour at Independence Hall. During the park ranger talk, you’ll see the room where the signers of the Declaration of Independence met and agreed on the declaration that started the American Revolution. In the evening, you will have dinner at the Bourse Food Court. Following dinner, you will see a performance of the “Founding Fathers” at the PECO Energy Center. After the show concludes, you will go to the hotel for check in.
Day 2
You will have breakfast at the hotel and begin your day. You will walk up to the National Liberty Museum for a visit. Next, you will visit the National Constitution Center. Here you’ll see a multi-media presentation about the U.S. Constitution and then have time to view the exhibits. You’ll have lunch in the cafeteria at the center. Following lunch, you will take a walk over to Franklin Court and the Franklin Museum where you can see a short film about Benjamin Franklin. Then you will visit the home of Betsy Ross house. Your next stop will be the African American Museum where you will take a docent led tour. You will then have dinner at Bucca Di Deppo. Following dinner, you will see the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, featured in the movie “Rocky.” Then, you will continue to the historic area for an evening ghost tour. After the tour, you will go back to the hotel for the evening.
Day 3
You will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. You will load your luggage on the bus. This morning you will visit Valley Forge National Military Park. You will take a guided tour of the camp where George Washington’s Continental Army spent the winter of 1777. After your visit, you will go to the food court at King of Prussia Mall for lunch. Following lunch, you will begin the drive home. You will stop for dinner en-route home (not included).
